As some of you may know, I donate a portion of my sales to BC Childrens Hospital. I feel it is important to give back to the community and help out when I can. This October I am also donating a portrait session to Richmond Hospital Foundations’ 10th Annual Starlight Gala on October 25th. The Starlight Gala is the foundation’s annual fundraiser and Richmond’s most prestigious event. Since 1999, the Gala has raised over $1 million to fund vital medical equipment for our hospital. The gala starts at 5:30 at the River Rock Casino and my donation will be part of an auction, so please feel free to get tickets for the night and bid on a portrait session from me!!!

Keiko and Alex
October 3, 2008I guess I would have thought about this before but when it rains in Vancouver, you have to guess it is foggy up at SFU!
Keiko and Alex’s wedding day was a little on the wet side but the bonus was when we went up to SFU to do their portraits the rain had stopped and there was this beautiful romantic mist… I am not sure Keiko was super excited about the fog but I assured her she would get some very romantic photos as a result. I have to say this was one of my favorite shoots!!! Expect the unexpected, fog, who would have guessed!
These two are truly in love and I am so happy to have been there to capture their day for them.
I hope you enjoyed your non-honeymoon honeymoon!!

Nicole and JP
October 3, 2008Capilano Golf and Country Club is a great venue. I was fortunate to shoot the fantastic couple, Nicole and JP there for their September 27th wedding. Following in the foot steps of her parents, who got married at Capilano Country Club 35 years ago, Nicole and JP decided to celebrate their special day at the Country Club. Here are some of my favorites of the day, including a portrait of her parents in the same spot they stood 35 years earlier for their wedding photo.
Enjoy Hawaii Nicole and JP, see you when you get back!!

Thomas
October 3, 2008Thomas is one of those kids that seems older than his years. I met him the night before his cousin Nicole’s wedding. His family came to town for the wedding(which I photographed)and his mom, Kim thought it would be a good idea to update his headshots. Having done some theatre in Kelowna, Thomas seemed very at ease in front of the camera. It was a real pleasure to work with this fine young actor and I look forward to seeing his career take off! Hope your audition went well Thomas!
