I shot Patty and Ryan’s wedding a couple of years ago at Nu restaurant, since then we have kept in touch through mutual friends. When I found out that they were expecting, I was so happy for them. They are such a fun loving couple! I was thrilled when they asked me to do some maternity portraits for them, as I feel like they have become friends over the years! Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day and I look forward to photographing the newest member of the family when he/she arrives!

The Social Order – Sailing

Once in a while I get to opportunity while working to do something I have not done before. I have sailed once before on a small friends boat but last week I had the opportunity to hang out with the folks of The Social Order on a 60 ft sailboat with a world traveled captain! The day was fun filled and relaxing, and I think everyone on board found the perfect way to enjoy a sunny Sunday afternoon in Vancouver. Thanks to Betsy of The Social Order for inviting me along!

Brittany and Josh – Brock House Wedding

Brittany and Josh are a great couple. They had an amazing wedding day, which started with a first meeting at Queen Elizabeth Park, then some portraits throughout the park and Granville Island. The ceremony was at the Canadian Memorial Church at Burrard and 15th, with Josh’s mom singing during the ceremony, which caused some tears.. it was so touching. From the ceremony we went to the fabulous Brock House for a great dinner reception. It was a great day to be married and you could feel the love in the air!

I met little baby Colton when he was 10 days old. So cute, he is adored by his family. I look forward to seeing him grow as I get to photograph him two more times over the next year! Thank you Melissa, you guys were so patient! Oh and little Ruckus had to get in the shoot while Colton was taking a break! Looking forward to the six month session with everyone! Ashlee and Giovanni – Vancouver Wedding Photography

Here’s a movie-worthy love story! Gio and Ashlee met as actors in the Vancouver production of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, where they married every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. This month the couple made the news across BC as they said their vows – for real this time. I had the amazing pleasure of shooting their ceremony at the St. Francis of Assisi Parish followed by the reception at Brock House. Here are just a few of my many favourites, I am sure there will be more to come… Thanks for being so awesome, enjoy your European honeymoon!

I love these guys!! I had so much fun at their wedding, they are such a warm lovely couple who are continuously having fun and laughing! We started the day at the gorgeous Hycroft Mansion, with the sun shining down on a beautiful Saturday wedding! The ceremony was perfect, filled with so much love. From there we did a trip to Iona beach for some portraits, chasing the sun. As the city was starting to get some crazy storm clouds, we were basking in the sun in Richmond which made for some amazing clouds and moody portraits. After a great session on the beach we headed to Steveston for some more portraits and then onto Kirin Restaurant for the reception. These two love the Canucks so much they were announced and came in to the Canucks warm up song and waving their white towels… so fun! I had an amazing day with you guys and I want to thank the fabulous Fran Chelico for second shooting and making the day one to remember!

Briar and Shaun – Vancouver Engagement Session

Two of the sweetest people are getting married this weekend! Although growing up in the same town, Briar and Shaun didn’t meet until their twenties – it’s a good thing they did because they’re so in love! Briar is the owner of Epic Events, a great Vancouver-based company which specializes in weddings. Now it’s time for her to be the star bride, not just the star creative director!
